THERMAL INSULATING PLASTER, MINERAL, NATURAL, BREATHABLE, FOR EXTERIOR/INTERIOR USE, WITH CLIMATIC REGULATION FUNCTION, CERTIFIED ACOUSTIC ABSORPTION PERFORMANCE AND LOW EMISSIONS OF VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS (< 70 mg/m3 _ CLASS A1 _ EN ISO 16000-9 _ ISO 16000-6)

SURFACE PREPARATION FOR PLASTERING
The masonry surfaces must be cleaned, where possible with pressure washing or sandblasting, to remove friable and incoherent parts, surface dust, any kind of dirt, etc. Any evident irregularities in the planar continuity (significant level differences, cavities, passages for pipes, etc.) must be preliminarily filled with hydraulic lime-based mortar plaster, UNTERSANA by AZICHEM srl.
At chimneys, structural elements, slabs, corners of doors and windows, etc., prepare the alkali-resistant fiberglass mesh, ARMAGLASS STRUCTURA 115 by AZICHEM srl, ensuring to extend it about 20 cm per side, compared to the area to be reinforced.
The mesh will be embedded in the pre-mixed scratch coat mortar, UNTERSANA by AZICHEM srl.

APPLICATION OF THE BONDING SCRATCH COAT
Wet the surfaces. Apply by spray an approximate thickness of 3 – 4 mm (4 – 5 kg/m² of product) of natural hydraulic lime NHL 3.5-based mortar, sulfate-resistant hydraulic binders, impalpable marble, selected fine aggregates with rational granulometric distribution, kaolin, crystallization inhibitors, and special additives like UNTERSANA by AZICHEM srl, certified according to EN 998/1 (R) as a renovation mortar and with certification of recycled material content according to EN ISO 14021. Ensure the most continuous possible coverage of the surface to be plastered, aiming for a rough and uneven finish.
On the scratch-coated surface, prepare in level the thickness guides and corner guards (in stainless steel), using for the thickness guides the SANAWARME plaster, which will later constitute the finished thickness of the mineral coat.

APPLICATION OF THE THERMAL INSULATING PLASTER

After about 24 hours from the application of the UNTERSANA scratch coat, and in any case after it has hardened, after wetting the surface to be plastered with water, apply manually or by spray, using a specific plastering machine, the thermal insulating, fiber-reinforced, dehumidifying plaster, based on natural hydraulic lime, low soluble salt binders, marble granules, kaolin, calcium caseinate, zeolite, expanded perlite, cork flour, natural fibers, and specific anti-saline agents like SANAWARME by AZICHEM srl, certified according to EN 998/1 (T) as thermal plaster in class T1 and with certification of recycled material content according to EN ISO 14021, with a certified thermal conductivity according to UNI EN 12664 of λ = 0.077 W/mK, a bulk density of 700 kg/m³, a compressive strength > 2 N/mm², and a consumption of about 4-5 kg/m²/cm.

The layers of applied product should not exceed a thickness of 2.5 cm per pass. Each subsequent layer should be applied after the previous one has hardened (24 to 48 hours apart, depending on temperature and seasonal climatic conditions) and after wetting the surfaces to be plastered with water.

APPLICATION OF THE SMOOTHING COAT

After the maturation and hardening of the thermal insulating plaster SANAWARME, after wetting the surface with water, apply the smoothing coat based on natural hydraulic lime NHL 3.5, pozzolanic activity kaolin, selected aggregates, high tenacity microfibers, lightweight thermal insulating aggregates with low elastic modulus, like SANASTOF by Azichem Srl, CE certified according to EN 998/1, for a thickness of about 2 mm (consumption: 3 kg/m²). Insert the alkali-resistant fiberglass mesh ARMAGLASS 160 by AZICHEM srl between the first and second coats of smoothing, using a smooth metal trowel to “flatten and embed” the mesh in the smoothing coat. Finish the second coat of SANASTOF with a sponge trowel.

APPLICATION OF THE BREATHABLE WATER-REPELLENT PAINT

After the maturation of the finishing smoothing coat SANASTOF and reaching the correct alkalinity of the same, apply the breathable, protective, water-repellent siloxane paint PROTECH SIL P by AZICHEM srl for a consumption of 0.25-0.30 l/m² (after applying the specific primer PROTECH SIL FIX by AZICHEM srl with a brush, spray, or roller, for a consumption of 0.12 l/m²).
